Having herself walked the many hills, valleys, delights, and challenges of child rearing with her own two, founder of 23 Hayden Place, Marci Priest, believes wholeheartedly that it takes a village. She hopes you’ll find yours here, in this kind corner of the internet full of encouragement, connection, and comfort for those bringing up young children and striving to guide their hearts toward the saving love and finished work of Christ.

For many years, Marci hoped for opportunities to intentionally encourage not only moms, but also aunts, grandmothers, godmothers, and all women with influence over young children. Her dreams materialized at 23 Hayden Place, and she now invites you to enter a diverse community of believers both who have been there, and who are figuring it out as they go, and who will cheer you on as you do the same.

fun facts

 

✓ Marci’s children are grown; though, as any empty-nester mom would say, she’s not done with them yet! And she lives in Plano, Texas, with her husband.

✓ Marci can empathize well with women juggling the balance between the workplace and family life. With a bachelor’s in speech communication and a master’s in political communication, Marci phased through pharmaceutical sales, stay-at-home motherhood, and teaching assistance while her children were at home. 

✓ Marci now spends her time volunteering with various women’s ministries, most notably with Bible Study Fellowship International. In the past, she’s participated as a class member, as well as served as a children’s leader and a substitute teaching leader. Marci loves partnering with women of all ages to discover anew the beauty and truth of scripture.

✓ Special details of Marci’s life compose the name ‘23 Hayden Place’. And, written in the form of an address, Marci hopes that the name evokes feelings of comfort and signals to newcomers that this is a place to come for community, encouragement, and hope.
